The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s December 12, 2019, announcement that Daleep Singh would become Executive Vice President and Head of the Markets Group states his prior public service. He “worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2011 to 2017, serving as Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Affairs, helping to shape the Department’s crisis response to Ukraine, Russia, Greece, and Puerto Rico.” The same release says he “directed the Treasury’s Markets Room, which provided real-time and thematic analysis for senior Administration officials.”
The New York Fed repeated the Acting title when he resigned on February 5, 2021: “Previously, Mr. Singh was Senior Partner and Chief U.S. Economist at SPX Capital, a global investment firm. He also worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2011 to 2017, serving as Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Affairs.”
PGIM’s current biography, last checked August 26, 2026, drops the word Acting and says he “served as an Assistant Secretary for financial markets and debt management at the Treasury Department, as well as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for international affairs.” PGIM’s March 17, 2025, press release uses “acting assistant secretary for Financial Markets and deputy assistant secretary for Europe and Eurasia.” This page uses the New York Fed wording for the Fact sentence — including Acting — and records the employer variants. It does not invent a Senate-confirmed Assistant Secretary commission, a start month inside 2011, or an end day inside 2017 beyond what those releases state.
