The New York Fed’s February 5, 2021, release is the primary lock on the first White House tour’s start: Singh would leave mid-February “to join the Biden Administration as Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy National Economic Council Director.” Official White House press-briefing transcripts from February 2022, archived by the American Presidency Project, introduce him as “Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics and Deputy NEC Director.”
PGIM’s March 17, 2025, press release, announcing his later return to the firm, dates that first tour “between February 2021 and June 2022” and says that in the role “he served as former President Biden’s top international economics advisor, driving policy formulation at the intersection of economics and national security.” PGIM’s current biography adds that as “the U.S. Sherpa to the G7, G20, and APEC, he also represented the President in major international fora,” and lists economic statecraft, supply-chain resilience, innovation policy, digital assets, and energy security among the issues. Those are employer sentences about the office. They are not a court finding that he “ran” any one statute or war.
A June 4, 2021, White House briefing-room blog bylined “Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh” was listed in earlier research notes. The live whitehouse.gov URL returned 404 when checked on August 26, 2026. This page does not quote that essay from a dead page.
